Daily Mercy

This week we had an extra beautiful sunrise. The picture doesn't really do justice to the glory of the sky but its the best I could capture mid breakfast in my socks. This sunrise came after the windstorm that nearly blew one of our new high tunnels away.
(That would be this one- just to give you reference.)

We were going to stake it down...just never got around to it. The whistling wind finally prompted us to check on it and stake it we did! (In addition to anchoring it to the truck with a chain) But not before it had moved 20 feet in what appeared to be a combination of floating and sliding.  Most of the next day was spent moving it back into place and replanting the damaged garden. I would say lesson learned but we left it unsecured all week until it got windy again today and sensing danger; we scrambled again to drive posts around it. Thankfully, everything is still in place.
When I see a good sun raising (is there such a phrase?) it brings to mind the faithfulness of God.

Remember my affliction and my wanderings,
the wormwood and the gall!
My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me.
But this I call to mind,and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness
"The Lord is my portion" says my soul,"therefore I will hope in him."
Lamentations 3:19-24
