Olympiad

Thursday, August 2, 2012

I have been ejoying the olympics very much this year. They always manage to capture my emotions which doesn't happen much. Nothing makes me tear up like a althlete accomplishing great things. CPR instructional videos make me cry too. Not because of any CPR related trauma, its kind of a mystery to me. Maybe I have a heart after all.

I have not been able to wear my olympic jackets becuase it has been so hot. HOT. Really hot. 112 yesterday and more heat coming today.

Olympic watching late into the night and getting up early to beat the heat are making me tired. When I am tired its hard to bear the end of summer slump. Garden season is winding down and I am once again thrown into decision making land. I don't have a map for this land, it all looks familiar but I am still a little lost.

On a brighter note. Campmeeting was great! Camping 10 days in an Oklahoma July is my familys definition of a party. And by family I mean all 20 of us relatives who strove to uphold campmeeting traditions. It was wonderful to hug old friends and make new friends. Campmeeting never changes and yet it allows me to grow.
