Anticipation

There is a florist that I drive by everyday on my way to work and they have a sign out in front of the shop that says, "If your name is ______ come in and get a free rose."

There is always a name, not actually a blank spot. I suppose since most people have names.

I have a hard time remembering lots of things but I know every name they have posted. The names thus far have been: John, Julia, Emily, Tas, Bennett and Jill.... Oh, now that I said I remember all of them I don't think I can. Anyways, those are the names that I can recall.

I used to think that they would never ever post my name but they put a few unique names up this week and I have more hope now. I am still skeptical but it gives me something to look forward to everyday. And, Tas, I don't know if they lost a few letters or any pranking was going on but if they put Bennett up surely Elisa wouldn't that far behind.

I don't know why this fascinates me so much-but it sure does.

Here is a photo from this weekend. Roommates past and present are featured. I'd like to mention that I make no height specifications when looking for a roommate it just looks like that in the pictures. I am really not a giant- that's just an illusion.

I would also like to answer your question about showering. No. This picture is from Sunday and I don't shower on Sunday's its a policy. Weddings or not I have traditions to uphold. I know that it looks like a nest on my shoulder but I prefer thinking of it as vogue.

Elisa! What a funny girl you are! It was good to hang out this weekend... I like this blog. Let me know if they ever put "Tara" up as a name. I wanna flower.

Maybe you should make friends with the florist.

"make friends with"? Do we even say that? Or is that an ESLism? I don't even know...it's too early in the morning for me.

Sister... you never told me that I could have gotten the free rose. And I rather like the nest resting on your shoulder.

I support the no-shower-Sunday tradition. Except on camping weekends. :)

maybe one night you should go an write your name in the blank...then get your rose in the morning when they open! although, that probably wouldnt be as fun as just seeing it there all of a sudden...

i always feel behind the times when I am commenting later on on your blog. But here goes: people always think curly hair looks nice because it does, embrace no shower sunday. Maybe this means we could be roommates then. I'll send you my height.

I found this blog very hilarious and entertaining. The more I get to know you, the more you make me laugh. In a good way.

Height stipulation or not, I'm glad I made the cut. ;-) PS-I think you looked super chic w/ the hat and hair.
