"I am scared."
"Why? Nothing is going to hurt you. I'm right here"
"There might be bears!"
"There are no bears here."
"What will we do if one comes?"
"There are no bears here."
This is the conversation I have daily. Peace versus anguish. Trust versus despair.
What? I have nothing to fear? You mean God is with me all the time? ALL the time? Even beyond today into that murky unknown future?
Defiantly a camping lesson that I needed.

Dark forests have ALWAYS scared me. There's something about that unknown area of darkness that makes my imagination run wild. Trusting is hard. You're a trooper Elisa.
i can definitely relate. thanks for the reminder. thanks for a lot of things.
The thing is... that there ARE bears.
Good lesson. I hadn't thought of that with our 1,000 conversations about not having bears around. And remember, when it is day-time, we might find out, we're not even really in the woods! :)
thanks for the SHORT blog. I must say I prefer the podcast version myself. Thanks for both :)
ps I hear cinnamon keeps bears away. You should put some in your soup.
;O)
Who knew Terri would be a teacher?
