Playing with silly putty was a risk I took in church this week. I passed the red egg to him with a prayer and when I showed him how to press the putty against the page of the activity book it was like a whole new world opened up. The ink smile of David from the book stretched into a more painful look on the pink putty between his hands. Rolling it out and pressing it smooth again he pressed it to his forehead. Peeling it off gingerly, he examined it and then whispered in my ear,"It takes my black off too."

I hit a dog with my car yesterday. Unfortunately, not the worst thing about my week.

Gomphrena globosa is one of my favorite plants from class. It looks like clover, which may seem ordinary but I love it. I wish I could give a more personal account of its qualities but I haven't tried to grow it (yet!). My geraniums died annoyingly early this year. There was a drought under my porch apparently.

Jesus and I need to spend more time together. Sometimes for me it can be as hard as running though. Workout. It takes a lot of sweat to surrender.

How have I not heard about this dog yet?

I thought we'd introduced silly putty before? Awesome story. Or stories. Take care. :)

Tara, there is little to say about the dog that wouldn't be disturbing to you.
Andrea, yes I suppose the silly putty isn't new it just hasn't been pulled out in a long time. If something gets old enough it can become new again.

Hitting the dog might have been the worst part of my week. But I am trying not to let it keep me awake at night.
