You know the feeling you get when jumping on a trampoline and you lose your bounce. You swing your arms and plant your feet yet this doesn't result in soaring. Heaviness rushes through you and your knees buckle. Its a terrible weighty feeling of being stuck while others are floating around you. That is how I feel right now.

I realize this is not a permanent situation, thank goodness. It could be worse. Jumping with a full bladder is the worst. Bad feeling.

Something else that I recently realized is that I like the color green. I don't know if I can truthfully tell people gray is my favorite anymore. I still love the mournful shade but there might be other ones I like too. When my sister and I got pedicures for her birthday everyone in the salon wrinkled their nose at my choice of color but I thought it was a nice change from the varying shades of red. The next week I put my green sandals on and my toes were almost the same shade. I like this color. What has happened to me? Such happy brightness. There is hope yet (full disclosure: I also like purple).

You know what's sometimes good about losing your bounce? You're helping someone else jump higher. You're a good friend Elisa, I hope your heart gets lighter soon.

I know the trampoline feeling. And green is my favorite color, except when it's growing on food. It was nice seeing you last weekend. :)

From here, you can only bounce higher. And higher you will go, my dear, dear friend.
