Whenever I haven't talked to someone for awhile it takes some time for me to get back into the groove of communication. It is hard to catch up again. Life changes so fast. Here are some highlights of the past week.
-I went to Oklahoma!
Only approximately 20 minutes of it was spent at my house. The rest was spent at campmeeting. Campmeeting is a big deal in my neck of the woods.
-I survived an Oklahoma thunderstorm. It was a big one, full of lightning and rain. It blew down the LARGE meeting tent for the youth. Those huge campmeeting style tents. It came down on about 15 people. Only one guy was slightly injured when the rope he was trying to tighten on the tent ripped the stake out of the ground and flung him four feet in the air before dragging him across the stage. I did not witness the tent collapse because I was showering. I found out later that they guy who was lifted off the ground was my cousin. All the better story to tell.
-I say that storms don't scare me but only because I forget how intense lightening can be when you are sleeping in a tent in the woods. I tried to wake brother Andrew up so he could be scared with me but he was not interested.
-I drove from Oklahoma to my Tennessee residence by myself. I intended to at least. My car died a partial death in Nashville. I have an old academy friend that lives in Nashville and she was most helpful in rescuing me. Groome transportation brought me the rest of the way home. And even that was eventful because our driver missed got lost in Nashville and I got car sick and threw up.
-Emily was delayed in arriving from Nicaragua and due to a series of events I drove to Atlanta by myself at 10:00-the night after my car breakdown fiasco. I didn't get back home til 4:30 am. I slept for about two hours and then went to work. When I got home from work on Tuesday I slept for 12 hours. I should probably mention, for full disclosure, that I did sleep an hour in the back of my van at the airport parking garage. I would have slept okay, but for the frequent announcement of the security threat level. It's orange in case you were wondering.
-Work was viciously busy on Wednesday.
-My anxiety over what to do in life is continuing to mount.
- I am to the point in my relationship with seaweed that I sometimes crave it. Sometimes.
-If I look at this picture long enough it makes me a little teary.

I am glad you finally got a decent night's sleep. You are a trooper!
It has been a rather long week, eh. Your muffins are amazing by the way. Thanks again.
I'm so glad I found your blog. I remember Andrea bragging about it while you were a student missionary. By the way I crave seaweed as well. Should I send you some? I also have a picture of you with reindeer antlers on top of your head. It's in my work locker and it gives me much joy. You sound like you live a very exciting life and I'm also glad that you are holding my beautiful african drum. If anything happens to it... your toast. lol
Wow, I didn't realize all those crazy things happened to you! and your cousins, and everyone. Way to go though, you survived it and had good stories to tell.
does the picture make you teary because of allergies, your brothers muscles are so big, you cat got ran over by a tractor or you miss home? this is what i want to know :o)
There is a glove missing and I am mourning its absence. And my separation from home.
