Asparagus season is over. Today we are putting the last picking in the freezer to enjoy this winter. It takes three hours to pick the field and lots of time sorting and preparing it for market. I would like to think that all those other jobs that got pushed into the night will get accomplished at a reasonable working hour with all the time being freed up. I am skeptical but it is more possible now.
Anna and Madalyn had their first year of asparagus work and it went from play to work after a few long days of hauling asparagus in from the field. They are excellent tractor drivers even when they don't get supper until 8:00 pm.

I feel like I heard somewhere that asparagus picking is hard on your hands. Are your hands ok?
One of my new friends has a Doris Day ringtone. Made me think of "Enchilada" Doris Day song. Which of course makes me think of you. I'm free-ish from now through the weekend. I wish I had Skype, but I'm still waiting for the new Mac...but if you are free and wanna call, that would be great. But I know service is sketchy and you're super busy. Love you Elisa!
good work :)
