This weekend we hung out with the kids. It was truly enjoyable and I didn't get stressed out. Not even once. (Miracles do happen, Amen.) They have grown a little taller and moved a few houses down on the same violent street otherwise things are similar to before.
I had the littlest guy in my car and on the drive up the mountain I was asking about his family and how everyone was doing. He told me that his baby brother was crying when we left because he couldn't come and didn't have a diaper.

"You used to be that unclothed youngest," I thought to myself. Now he was telling me all about kindergarten and his favorite shapes, triangles and circles. I asked him what he did in kindergarten and his response was, "be good." He said the other kids always fight but he is good. When we made it to the cliffs he and I sat at the bottom and used little rocks to draw shapes on the big rocks. I kept forgetting the oval but this one know his shapes.
Boo has a baby now. I didn't even know until we were gathered at the car getting ready to leave the mountain and head home. "Anything happen since we hung out last? What have you guys been up to?" I asked the group of kids leaning on the guard rail. They couldn't think of anything for awhile. Then they pointed to Boo. Her little girl is eight months old. My heart is heavy for her and all the way home while the littlest guy sleeps I try process it but I can't. 15 is so so young. Maybe it shouldn't surprise me but it does.

I'm glad you went back, and it's so good to hear about the kids. I don't remember Boo, but it is a hard life for sure. Praying for you guys in this next adventurous chapter. :)
Boo is what they call her though its not actually her name. She went to camp so you may know her. Boo is a cousin to the other kids.
